I'm learning how to handle and shoot a gun tomorrow morning. You know, just in case there's ever a zombie apocalypse.
Sia did a Madonna cover, I am happy, I am happy.
I'm very, very excited for this movie Welcome To People that Kurtzman is directing. It's rare that I'm impressed by the plot summary alone, but it's about:
…a struggling twentysomething man who, after flying home to L.A. for the funeral of his estranged record-producer father, discovers that the will stipulates that he must deliver $150,000 in cash to a 30-year-old alcoholic sister he never knew existed, and her troubled 12-year-old son. Determined to keep the money to solve his own problems, he’s nonetheless fascinated by his unknown kin and makes contact with the two without revealing who he really is.
Chris Pine is not a twenty-something anymore, but let's not speak of this.
When the info was first rolling out about this movie they were talking about Rachel McAdams playing the sister, but apparently Elizabeth Banks got the role. I approve.
I'd be interested to know if there are any actual real life stories in which people put these strange and specific requests in their wills that they can totally request because it's a WILL. In real life, everything seems like a bunch of percentages and paperwork that your lawyer mostly handles for you. I remember the whole notion of a will being kind of romanticized by me when I was younger because of the common plot device.

Date: 2010-11-12 07:15 pm (UTC)No, you don't have to wait for pics, it looks like they'll be a while in coming ('cause I refuse to post anything until it heals completely). It's on the inside of my right calf over the ankle (and let me tell you, this is my 5th tattoo, and OW. Never would have thought the skin there is so bloody sensitive!), and it's a sort of cartoonish girl of baroque style (think Marie Antoinette type of wig), holding an ace of diamonds. Kinda like reminds me of Tim Burton's style. I love it. :D

Date: 2010-11-11 10:07 am (UTC)The sunset was beautiful and the beach was thronged with lots of people, bikers, surfers, photographers, everyone out enjoying the sunset. But we decided to go for it anyway, so found a little cove that was quieter and dumped Uncle Dan over a big incoming wave.
The wave slapped against a rock. Uncle Dan was still sort of floating on top of the wave, and the slap sent Uncle Dan up into a big Uncle Dan cloud that covered us, head to toe, with a faint dusting of Uncle Dan. Old basatard probably thought it was funny (he wasn't very nice, by all accounts).
I'm looking forward to this movie. I like it when Chris does proper ~~ACTING~~ and think he's extremely talented and somewhat underrated due to his generally stinky career choices so far. And you can't not love Elizabeth Banks.

Date: 2010-11-12 07:24 am (UTC)Yes, I'm all for Chris branching out more, since the majority of his films have been so bad. Even when he was doing bad films people were saying, "I'm keeping an eye on that guy, he's gonna be big some day." And now he is big and still doing seemingly mediocre movies (hopefully not because people can't see past the Kirk role).
