The only thing I will say about the last SPN is that, having had an unfinished fic sitting around in which John and Dean briefly quote The Good The Bad and The Ugly at each other, I'm ecstatic (if completely unsurprised) that Dean is a Clint Eastwood fanatic. Heh.

This is kind of overdue to the point of being pointless, but should anyone be wondering about the status of a certain Star Trek WIP of mine: Book 2 of In Our Nature has words, and it has had words for a long time. I can't promise anything about when it's coming, but it's coming. At this point it feels like it would just make sense to do it for this year's big bang, but I really cringe at the idea that it would take me that long, so I'll optimistically say that that's not likely.

I picked up The Likeness. Cassie Jeanne Maddox, I cannot even handle how much more awesome you are in first person.

Ha ha. Cassie is awesome. The teaser chapter at the end of In the Woods totally got me alone. She says something (it's quoted on my journal but am too lazy to go find) about "But I dealt the cards, and these were my choices." .... Okay I need to find it, that's badly paraphrased. Here it is:

"This is Lexie Madison's story, not mine. I'd love to tell you one without getting into the other, but it doesn't work that way. I used to think I sewed us together at the edges with my own hands, pulled the stitches tight, and I could unpick them anytime I wanted. Now I think it always ran deepeer than that and further, underground; out of sight and way beyond my control.

This much is mine, though: everything I did.

I try not to wonder about any WIPs of yours. That just makes me anxious to read them, so as a matter of self-preservation, I just try to pretend they don't exist until they're finished and I can sink my teeth into them. I'd go insane otherwise.

As for Supernatural, I just started on Season 6, have seen the first 3 episodes so far. I'll catch up, slowly but surely. (and I know this was ages ago for you, but Castiel's face in episode 3 when he says he wasn't going to mention about Dean and his 'special bond' to Sam when Sam asked why he hadn't showed up when *he* was calling him... lmao)
