Many are familiar with the extremely popular party game Apples To Apples. I can't imagine anyone going to college without being exposed to it repeatedly and realizing its awesomeness by the end of freshman year. The game is extremely simple, but has the potentional for hysterical humor, as the pairing of random concepts to descriptions can be done with both irony and personal bias.
Tonight I was enjoying a game of Apples To Apples with a few of my Wesleyan bitches, as well as my best friend's mom, and as I was discarding one of our unused "create your own card"s, and someone was drawing up the adjective "pathetic", I had an epiphany: Wouldn't it be fun as hell to create your own FANDOM edition of APPLES TO APPLES? All you have to do is create cards with a bunch of character names, specific episodes, whatever, and assemble some friends that have common interests in fandom. You could even come up with adjectives pertaining to certain fandoms. "I think the Imperius Curse is definitely the most meta-fascinating." "I'm going to have to give 'scintillating' to Justin Taylor." "Which asshole put down Han Solo for 'horrifying'!?" Not to mention the possibilities of amusing debate.
It's a fun idea, but unfortunately I don't know nearly enough people that share my dorkiness and would be able to play with me.
