Yesterday on a total impulse I went out and actually bought music when I realized that I do not have Placebo's Without You I'm Nothing in decent sound quality, and therefore do not have what is quite possibly my favorite song in decent sound quality. I still remember it was on the trip back from Wisconsin with my best friend and her dad when I first heard that album (and liked it). We were pulling out of a toll booth at the climax of the title track and it made me the perfect kind of sad.
I still haven't picked up the new Placebo because I'm pretty much expecting disappointment. There are a couple very moving songs on Meds, but overall I just...I don't know, they expose Brian's voice too much now. Or more like they're returning to what they did before WYIM and it's not working as well cause they rocked the fuck out back then.
I've given up on keeping up with Project Runway/Mad Men/Heroes/anything because there's always somebody watching Family Guy reruns or something in the lounge when I need the TV. Haha, gripe #2352 on top of really not needing the heat on that high overnight, but overall my living situation is great. I'm not sure I can explain why I'm cleaner when I live alone.

startrekbigbang fic I'm mixing for and this shit is gonna be EPIC. I'm gonna make my dog read it. Actually, there is a completely realistic possibility I will make my boyfriend read it once it's posted. This started one of the very few but usually very funny conversations with the bf that manages to converge on my fandom life, which went something like:
L: Be prepared for me to rec you a fic soon.
S: Is it Kara/Helo?
L. ...*blinks*...Unfortunately not. But you'll like it.
S: What's it for?
L: It's a surprise, but I'll tell you that it's a crossover.
S: BSG and...?
L: I didn't even say it was BSG!
S: Yeah, but see, I know it is, cause I've been secretly in yr fandomz creating this whole persona and stalking you everywhere and I secretly wrote the fic.
L: Yeah?
S: Oh, yeah.
L: Been lurking around the kink memes a lot?
S: I LOVE them.
I cannot even believe how bubbly and adorable Sia Furler is.
