I always assumed the flower on the cover of New Moon was a skimpy and somewhat damaged white rose.

It is actually a fringed tulip, which might be my new favorite flower.

How the hell did you ever think that was a rose, though? The kind of white rose that bleeds if you rip it up? LOL.

LoL, you seem to be implying that tulips do bleed. I thought it seemed like it could be a rose that lost a bunch of petals or something...I guess I just assumed so since a rose is such a cliche.
I've never been a particular fan of tulips, but some of these are gorgeous.

LOL. Tulips don't bleed, but some kinds have red in them.
