1. as you are my friend in crossovers, give me your five favorite crossover pairings-- either friendships or romances, whatever you like.
The only ones I've really thought that much about are Trek/BSG combos, obviously heavy on the Starbuck, LOL. Oh, and a bit of Doctor Who. So:
-Anders/Gaila. somebody make this cuteness happen, i don't care how.
-Jack Harkness/The entire Enterprise crew. i love to imagine Uhura remarking that he's even worse than Kirk.
-Kara/Spock. i love these two as buddies and wish I could've believably developed it more.
-Kirk/Kara. i don't want to even classify this.
-Kara/McCoy. <3 <3 <3
2. with both trek and bsg on your resume, i have to ask-- are you a big fan of sci-fi or is there another genre that you tend to like more? rec me a show or book in your favorite genre. XD
I watch and read many genres, but I guess my favorites do tend to be sci-fi when it comes to TV, more fantasy when it comes to books. I am extremely behind the times on everything and unlikely to be able to rec anything new for you, LOL. If you like magical realism type stuff, have you read/seen Angels In America?
3. do you have a process when you sit down to write a fic, or do you just pick a prompt and run with it?
I don't sit down to write a fic unless I already have an idea, and generally I am not a prompt/challenge writer cause ideas take so long to grab me. I think it must speak for how amazingly awesome Trek fandom is, that what I've written/am writing mostly is from prompts that I was just perusing without really thinking I'd end up writing anything. The process I think is literally different for everything I do depending on the type and length and the fact that I'm still experimenting. One of my WIPs right now is a non-linear present-past-repeat thing where the two timelines have to build on each other in terms of character development and that sure as hell isn't getting written or even outlined in order, but I have other things where I have to write from beginning to end to kind of motivate myself to get where it's going.
4. what's your favorite episode of BSG? did you guess any of the final 5 ahead of time?
Just one? Why must you do this to me? The one I remember consistently flailing and OMGing over the most when I first saw it was definitely "Home" (part 1 if I have to pick). "Someone To Watch Over Me" possibly ties for kind of the opposite effect because it was so deeply unsettling. It also makes me hella nostalgic about playing piano :/
I don't actually remember whether I guessed any of the four; I do remember thinking Ellen was pretty likely to be the final cylon, but I was still betting on Lampkin or Gaeta up until the reveal.
5. how long have you been on LJ? how did you first find out about it; did you join b/c of fandom, or for another reason? do you still have any of the same LJ friends as you did back then?
Seven years, damn. I don't actually remember who sucked me into LJ. I didn't get into it for fandom but fandom has become the main reason I'm still on. Since I switched over journals at one point I haven't really kept any non-RL friends since I started.

- Why do you dislike #14 so much?
Am I a touch bitter that it's becoming more popular than K/S because people feel the need to leave room for Spock/Uhura? Maybe a little, but that doesn't really bother me. For the most part I just can't envision Bones with guys no matter how hard I try. Like I'll be reading a slash fic with him and it's like, unintentionally funny and awkward. That makes me feel bad...
- Who is someone you know that ships #9?
Uh...Come on, there's gotta be somebody, but I can't think of anyone for sure. LOL. Since I stole that answer frombetweenthebliss I clearly know someone else who's curious.
- What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
Spock is injured/missing/dying, they're freaking out, they kiss or something, Spock is fine after all and they never mention it again.
- What interests you about #10?
I'm eager to see if it's obviously just a ratings ploy or if they're doing it believably.
- Which is your favourite moment for couple #1?
I haven't even finished series three yet...I just love how Cook is always the most delighted at his magic tricks.
- How long have you been following couple #6?
Well, the point in the book when I became interested was my flaily moment of SHE'S ACTUALLY GONNA BE AN IMPORTANT CHARACTER YAY!!! and the fact that she came home with Spider but bothered to nurse his brother's hangover made her out as much less of a bimbo than like, every other female in that novel.
- What's the story with #8? Why did you start shipping them?
The Plan. That is all.

14 is pretty harmless, so I'm going with 13.
- Which ship do you prefer #2 or #4?
Definitely feel more strongly about #2.
- What interests you about #11?
The way people talk about it makes me think I'd ship it, but I can't stand Gossip Girl, so I prefer to leave it up to my imagination.
- Why do you like #7?
Because it's illogical.

The Eternal Sunshine theme.

Oh, yes.
- Did #4 have a happy ending?
They probably haven't seen the last of each other, but not really.

If the kiddies were less annoying? I'm only invested in the older characters.
- If only one could happen, which would you prefer, #2 or #6?
I'm not sure what the definition of "happen" is here, but I made my peace with #2 not happening before it really began, so 6.
- You have the power to decide the fate of #5. What happens to them?
He gets as far out of town as possible once they graduate, but before his university audition he kisses her for good luck.
