Random question: Does anyone know how to make your layout not put your italics in a lighter font?

-When the hell is Inception coming out to own? It seems weird for them to not even have a release date confirmed yet. I only got to see it once in the theater and if I'm ever going to write cracked-out crossover fic for it I need to *immerse myself* and all that.

-Yay, Caprica's back. I forgot how hot Sam Adama is. Unf.

-Still keeping up with Mad Men but I don't find myself having much to say about the episodes. I kind of hate the fandom sometimes and am not motivated to socialize about it, I guess.

-It makes no sense that I still haven't watched Torchwood. Just from peripherally seeing some of it as my sister watches, I feel like I adore Owen and Ianto, and I also feel like Jack is a character who is kinda misrepresented in fandom, not that I didn't already suspect that. Or I guess it's more that people don't embrace the best things about him, because I'm intrigued about how he is clearly the type of person who truly cares about practically everyone he meets, but there's mostly just emphasis on him wanting to bonk everyone and everything. Not that that isn't also true, but...

-Atticus Ross & Trent Reznor doing the Social Network soundtrack = COOLEST THING EVER. The sound is so far from what I would expect to be in a movie about Facebook that it makes me excited to see the film. Yeah, I actually love Trent's ambient stuff as much as the metal/industrial stuff. The goth kids can cry in their cake about it, I ain't even mad.
BTW, I was the last person to find out that Trent married the singer from West Indian Girl, but she plus the Ross/Reznor duo made an EP under the name How To Destroy Angels which to me is a really lame name, but whatever. I've been listening to it a lot.

-I got laughed out of the kitchen yesterday when I was saying something about Ramen noodles and accidentally said "Romulan." Yeah, STBB is melting my brain, and I still feel like I'm driving blind with the damn thing because my beta reader's only gotten through about half of it. And it just gets more and more viral, like, I could tell you the entire friggin' life story of the mirror characters who only appear a couple times (and in the case of Spock and Kirk's history, I probably will in another fic), or I could tell you the life stories of a couple of my OCs (but I probably won't). Little things about the whole thing make me happy, like the fact that I'm posting the day before Halloween XD

For the eljay layout/italics thing, you'll need to look at the custom CSS and change the color yourself. For example, in the CSS for my layout, this is the code that turns the italics into a different color:

i, s { color: #aaaaaa;}

If I wanted it a darker color, I would change the #aaaaaa part.

HOWEVER, an easier way (that also avoids all this CSS crap) is to use the new italics HTML code in your entry. The new code is < em > (without the spaces).

Does that make sense?

Also, there are rumors that Inception's coming out in December.

Cool, thanks. I was looking at my CSS code but I just couldn't figure out where the font settings would be, but now I have a better idea what it would look like. And I was totally unaware of the other italics code, so that's good to know.

I guess Inception will end up being the first thing on my x-mas list...

1. Inception. Yeah, I've been wondering that myself. Especially since we get dvds quite a while later after they come out in the US (it's the subtitling, methinks), and I can't wait to watch that film again (though I did see it twice). As for your possibly Inception fics... See how good I'm being, I'm not screaming nor flailing at you in utter and insane excitement, just quietly bouncing in my chair in glee.

2. CAPRICA!! Dude, I'd completely forgotten about Caprica!! And I've been wondering what to watch now that Legend of the Seeker and Dollhouse are done (there's Supernatural, but I watch that with a friend and we started last winter so we're basically in the beginning of the 4th season still, as we need to find time together to do it :P). Thanks for the inadvertent reminder!

3. Romulan. heehee. Well, I got a package from my cousin in Australia the other day, and she's just moved to her own place, and I'd never seen the address before. It's Elwood, but upon seeing it I thought it said Elfwood. Yeah, Lord of the Rings is a permanent fixture of part of my brain, as if I needed the confirmation. :P
And I can't wait for the day before Halloween!! :DD

LOL, your glee is reassuring, I just hope I can wrap my head around a potential Inception-y plot that makes *sense*. It's hard to come up with something different enough from anything going on in the film that also follows all the "rules."

I'd imagine Caprica would be a good show to watch when you can just go right to the next episode on DVD. I was really into it watching it as it aired, but some people found the first season a little slow.

Dude, I feel you with the Inception wonderings. I've been wanting to see that again for the longest time, gah. I'm sure it'll come out right before the holiday season, or something. So they can get even MORE money as we all frantically buy it. *grumble* But that's not to say I won't buy it because...ah! I totally, totally will.

And that's awesome about your BB! Those are such a huge undertaking and they really suck a lot out of you. It'll feel so amazing once you post it. :D

Haha, I got antsy enough to download a cam but it was an AWFUL cam.

Since my big bang is actually book one of two fics (AAH), I don't get to sit back for very long after I post, but it will still be awesome.
Being far enough to pretty much know the final word count and how long it took me to get there, I'm still kind of in awe of your 80,000-word BB :O
