A/N: It feels very weird to be posting this since it's for a fandom I'm long out of and unlikely to ever return to, but this is one of a couple salvageable WIPs I came across lately when I was cleaning off my hard drive. I don't know where else I may have been planning to go with it, but it doesn't exactly feel unfinished. I'm honestly not sure how it'll read.
Title inspired by "King of Carrot Flowers Part 1" by Neutral Milk Hotel.

Title: As We Would Lay And Learn
(one-shot, 2473 words)
Pairing: Brian/Michael
Summary: Weekend by weekend, Michael watches his best friend grow up too fast, but some things never change.
Rating: R

The only thing I will say about the last SPN is that, having had an unfinished fic sitting around in which John and Dean briefly quote The Good The Bad and The Ugly at each other, I'm ecstatic (if completely unsurprised) that Dean is a Clint Eastwood fanatic. Heh.

This is kind of overdue to the point of being pointless, but should anyone be wondering about the status of a certain Star Trek WIP of mine: Book 2 of In Our Nature has words, and it has had words for a long time. I can't promise anything about when it's coming, but it's coming. At this point it feels like it would just make sense to do it for this year's big bang, but I really cringe at the idea that it would take me that long, so I'll optimistically say that that's not likely.

I picked up The Likeness. Cassie Jeanne Maddox, I cannot even handle how much more awesome you are in first person.
