Hiatuses are a myth...Hia...Hiati?

My life is one big hiatus from LJ so I'm the last person who needs to announce when I'm taking a hiatus, but...I was thinking about how my little heart is just going to break if I don't get a lot of writing done this summer, and thinking that maybe I should alter my fandom activity to be way heavier on the writing than the reading side. Which is sad, because my to-read list is effing huge right now, and I have shiny new people on my friends list, but...uh.

The to-do list?

-Trek genfic.
-Kirk & Spock bromance fic for my claim at st_episodic
-VDPB sequel, oh lord
-BSG/Trek crossover for a prompt at st_xi_kink
-more buddy fic if I feel like writing fluff
-FINISHING MY NEARLY 30,000 WORD TWILIGHT FIC AND THEN SAYING GOODBYE. Besides the fact that I'm rather sadfaced out of the fandom because even the J/B side of it is way too srs bsns now, I'm still very attached to this fic and feel entirely capable of doing this, I just have to do it.
-If I can possibly feel motivated, my precious Galactica WIPs?
-And not to mention I really wanted to start getting something like an outline done for an original fantasy novel. I'm really starting to scare myself by thinking about trying to write the first book of it for my senior writing project class. Don't go there, self.

...The likelihood of being able to stay away from ontd_startrek at all is very slim, though.

Well, if I was to be really blunt about it, I might say that a certain just-barely-not-a-troll user has turned it into debate club where it used to be a good-humored, no-you-don't-always-have-to-explain-your-opinion-cause-it's-JUST-FANDOM squee!fest of a community. Every once in a while I go back in hopes that she's gotten bored of it.

Oh, right. Yeah...I just laugh at how she's the self-appointed Jesus Christ there to save us from unintelligence and misunderstandings between Team E and Team J and ignore it.

LOL. I don't even severely dislike her, or get THAT annoyed, it's just...If she could just make a nice positive glee comment every once in a while to show us that she actually belongs there instead of hardly ever commenting when it's not to correct somebody, or just not comment as ridiculously fucking often...*sigh* It got to the point where I was like, I could either leave her a comment saying "I would appreciate it if you would never reply to any of my comments again; if you do, I just won't be inclined to read them"...or just leave. And I more or less got out of the kitchen.

Yeah, I often do really appreciate her bringing up certain perspectives, but there are just too many times when it's ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY and USELESS for her to contradict something somebody said but she still has to turn it into a debate.

I feel you about the srs bsns in regards to that certain someone. But I haven't seen her post much recently, and I ignore it any time she does.

LOL, thanks, dear. Mostly I pay attention to sortof_awesome these days. I still think the people are lots of fun when they're not talking about who Lautner is dating and other such things I just can't care about. I may be speaking too soon, cause if the next movie is actually pretty good I'm sure I'll be back on the wagon a while for some squeeing.
