And now I talk about my shameful love for bastard pop. I'm downloading and downloading all over Totom's mashup site since he finally started putting his stuff on mediafire. I just love this guy's eclectic taste and he seems to have a clever ear for things that sound unexpectedly beautiful together, like Bob Dylan vs. the Verve or Air vs. the Dandy Warhols. And I usually think less is more when it comes to these, but found myself saying hell yes to LCD Soundsystem vs. Franz Ferdinand vs. Radiohead vs. Devo vs. Devo again. Dammit, this shit is addictive.

MCGONAGALLLL. Somehow she was always one of the most real characters to me. She didn't fall into the obvious categories of just being a teacher or being some kind of mother figure; she was just an important guiding force in Harry's life and always showed that she cared about the students in these surprising but not too sentimental moments. She is pretty much the definition of a good leader who knows when to draw the line and break the rules every once in a while.

I really can't say I'm a big fan of Bella, but I do like her sense of humor.

My love of Chapel is kind of based on her being a quietly very strong individual, as nurses are wont to be. And she's not just a nurse, she's a SPACE NURSE.
