"and you're mad that he's white?" + POLLL
Mar. 19th, 2010 02:55 am...Just. This Death At A Funeral remake, WTF. I can't get over the fact that it not only looks like a scene-by-scene redux of the British version (except with unfunny race jokes added), but the trailer, I swear to God, shows off all the same gags as the trailer for the original did.
The advantages to this I'm certain of are A) Zoe. Just, you know, Zoe. And B) James Marsden half-naked on a rooftop rather than Alan Tudyk half-naked on a rooftop. Though Tudyk is perfectly cool and all.
Okay, and it's directed by Neil LaBute, but that doesn't really tell me anything because he usually writes his own stuff. And it's kind of funny that Peter Dinklage is in it again as the same character. Like they're not even trying. But WTH, it might be funny, I don't know.
And BTW, "bromance" does not equal "sexual relationship between two guys," screenwriters. Wikipedia agrees with me.
On to other matters: Does anyone have a Dreamwidth code, by any chance? I think I'm finally sold on maybe getting one because of the super-long entry max. Some time ago I started actually writing fic in private journal entries rather than in a document, for various reasons. I'm still not sure whether this is my preferred way of editing stuff, and now I'm curious about what everyone else does, so here's a rather boring poll that I really want anyone who writes fic/meta to fill out, please, and thank you:

Date: 2010-03-19 07:02 pm (UTC)Now when I write at home I use notepad a lot, because it's cleaner than Word; Word has so many damn menus and the little status bar on the bottom and argh, it really annoys me and I only use it when I'm editing something large that I need to be able to use page breaks for. (Plus, I like using notepad because it keeps me automatically coding my italics instead of having to go back in and use the find/replace feature to add them in later.)
I also have tons of DW invites if you're still in need of one :)
