I initially had Carrie Fisher as Pike, actually, but then kind of randomly thought of Keener and was like OMG NO, THAT'S PERFECT.

All of these castings are people I would never have thought of for these roles... and yet somehow they're all brilliant! Your Kirk, Spock and Bones are amazing choices, each one felt like a revelation as I was scrolling down. Casting Rachel Nichols as Kirk just has to be the pièce de résistance ♥

I like your Uhura and your Spock (at least as pics, acting is always aother consideration ;) )

I've seen Lena Headey (TSCC) suggested multiple times for Bones and the idea has kind of grown on me.
Sombody also brought up Catherine Tate (Dr. Who) for Scotty.

As for Gaila, somebody brought up (shortly after the movie came out) Tom Welling (Smalville)and somebody else even photoshopped him green. I have been unable to relocate that pic though.

I haven't yet found my perfect female Kirk, but personally (nothing against your choice or feelings on the matter) I imagine sombody not so small and slender. She doesn't have to be a giant or anything (Shatner wasn't either), but she should have a certain solidity and physical presence.

Catherine Tate was my choice for Scotty at some point. I think I just liked the idea of putting Winslet in a more humorous role, even if it's not quite what we've seen her do before.

Tom Welling is kind of an adorable idea. I like that :)

And I really, really had a hard time thinking of a Kirk. A lot of people have been using Katee Sackhoff, which I do kinda like, but I guess I just wanted to think of my own thing.

I love that Rachel Nichols is Kirk's female counterpart because of course Kirk would basically just make out with the female version of himself. XD

However, if I may mention something, I was leafing through an issue of Vogue while at the gym a few weeks ago and I came across this model:



And I swear I nearly tripped over my own face cause the second I saw it I was just like "HOLY SHIT IT'S LADY!SPOCK." Maybe the hair is responsible for like 90% of the resemblance, but I can't be the only one who sees it, surely? She's even got the inscrutable gaze down!

And then I'm strangely enamored of the idea of Emilie de Ravin (http://thinkingofrob.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Emily-De-Ravin.gif) as girl!Kirk. Why I've even spent so much time thinking about this, I do not know.
